Tamari Davis is once again the girl to beat in 2020.
The Empire Athletics athlete, a high school junior at East Ridge High School in Clermont, opened her junior season on the road at the USATF Hoover Alumni Invitational, putting down US No. 2 and US No. 3 efforts in the 60m and 200m, respectively.
Combined together, those times represent the fastest overall efforts in those two events. Davis, a young talent who's been competing at an elite level since her freshman season, is only just starting the winter season.
But junior Makhaila Mills, of St. Johns, Florida, is fast on her heels.
