CALIFORNIA

 

Great Cow Run (CA): US#3 Elias Gedyon claims victory in 14:26, winning by almost a minute; US#1 Saugus wins the girst team title with 21 points, averaging 17:34 over 3 miles Saugus is definitely improved form a seasona go. RESULTS

 

Seaside Invitational (CA): Trubaco Hills pops an impressive team performance scoring 29 points to takew the teacm championship. The 3-mile average of 15:55 bodes well as the team packed well finishing 3. Ryan Herson (15:42); 5. Brent Ritschel (15:51); 6. Jantzen Oshier (15:54); 7. Brian Gomez (16:01); 10. Scott Albright (16:09). This team are all 11th graders!!! The team also has depth as three additional competitors finished in 16:16 (Jared Hazlett); 16:18 (Lyle Palagar); 16:18 (Kevin Marshall). RESULTS

 

Laguna Hills Invitational (CA): US#2 Arcadia blasts the junior division field for a tremendous opening to the 2009 season. Averaging 15:38 over the 3-mile course Arcadia placed them well finishing in 1. Ammar Moussa (14:57.73); 2. Eric Garibay (15:33.43); 3. Allen Leung (15:35.07); 7. Esmond Wei (15:57.45); 10. William Tsai (16:07.06). However, this was only the junior's race, in the senior race Gabriel Weil ran 16:05.37. In the sophomore race Sergio Gonzales won with an impressive 16:01.04. The team wins with 23 points, to put this win into perspective consider the second place team was Poway with 116. RESULTS

 

Bronco Roundup (CA): US#9 Torrey Pines wins the fast two-mile Roundup. Torrey Pines finished 2. Megan Morgan (11:00.9); 3. Alli Billmeyer (11;07.6); 4. Ashlyn Dadkhah (11:15.6); 10. Soffe Watson (12:09.0); 11. Rachel Hiraoka (12:11.4). With a superior team showing and unbelievable front dominance Torrey Pines is a true darkhorse on the national scene. RESULTS

 

IDAHO

 

Silverlake Invitational (ID): Footlocker finalist US#15 Cody Helbling of Lake City runs away fromt he field in an incredible 15:30.9 5K victory winning by 43 seconds. RESULTS

 

COLORADO

 

Cherry Creek Invitational (CO): Individual standout Scott Fauble of Wheat Ridge ran a superb 15:22 5K to win the boys championship. US#13 Fort Collins girls claimed the team championship with a score of 72 points. The closest team was over double their total. RESULTS

 

St. Vrain Invitational (CO): Boulder's US#10 Kelsey Lakowski narrowly edges Classical Academy's US#15 Kaitlin Hanenburg in a fast 5K at altitude 17:51-17:58. US#12 Classical Academy scores 38 points to claim the team title. Story and Results by Colorado Editor Alan Versaw

 

TEXAS

 

Keene Invitational (TX): US#3 Cedar Park rolls competition with a 39 second 1-5 spread. Winning invitational with 28 team points. RESULTS

 

Oak Ridge Invitational (TX): US#4 The Woodlands girls dominate without #1 runner to score a low 35 points to claim the team title. RESULTS

 

Southlake Carroll Invitational (TX): Lewisville Flower boys run away from the field averaging 16:19 for 5000 meters. Lewisville Flower scored 61 points to take top honors in Boys Elite Racetab, Connor Adams won with an impressive 15:05 5K!;  continued improvement will definitely help Adams break into the Milesplit Sweet 16 Individual Rankings. RESULTS

 

WASHINGTON

 

Tracy Walters Invitational (WA): US#6 Ferris battled against US#12 North Central and US#15 Kamiakin. Winning with 55 points Joel Ferris was eld by individual standout US#16 Adam Thorne 15:28. US#11 Kinsey Gomez of Couer d' Alene, ID blasted a 17:57 to stop all comers in the girls champion. US#15 Shadle Park claimed the team championship. UTAH

 

Wasatch Invitational (UT): US#10 American Fork crushed all competitors with 29 team points. As the story states, "Bingham gets rolled". At 5600ft elevation over a brutal course the cavemen dominated instate rivals Bingham and Pleasant Grove. To put the difficulty of the course in perspective American Fork standout and Utah individual #1 Austin West went through mile 1 in 5:42...can we say the Olympic slopes are brutal?RESULTS

 

IOWA

 

Bobcat Invitational (IA): US#11 Dowling Catholic continues an unbeaten season by decimating teams with 24 points. Placing 1,2,4,7,10 the team made short work at the 16 team meet. Led by individual phenom US#12 Katie Flood's 14:09 4K performance, teammate US#13 Ashley Decker finished second in 14:12. RESULTS
