Utah:
Tooele Invitational (UT): Bingham is back, boys average 15:41 over 3-miles! looks like Utah has a new #1 team. Front four had a 10 second spread! Winning invitational with 25 points. Girls also win with 18 points. Results; Bingham then travel to 6000ft elevation to win the brutal Soda Springs Cardinal Classic with 56 points over Highland (ID), girls blow field away. Results
BYU Invitational (UT): Park City dominates the massive Utah Super-meet in a head to head showdown against American Fork. Results
Illinois:
Lyons Invitational (IL): "Lyons was one of those races to see if my form is improving or not, I ran all alone. By the performances I saw from Dathan Ritzenhein and Matthew Tegenkamp I have hope that I can be a great runner. I plan on competing at both NXN and Footlocker, but will be competing first in the Duathlon World Junior Championships on September 26th " ~Lukas Verzbicas Results Lukas Verzbicas, rips an impressive 14:19.76 to win by nearly a minute. The super soph is currently the top ranked runner nationally. Lukas had a chance to speak with our own Aaron Rich following the race.
Texas:
Texas State Invitational (TX): Undefeated Donovan Torres runs to victory in 15:15.1, winning by over 30 seconds . Results
Marcus Invitational (TX): Undefeated Craig Lutz claims 5000m victory in 15:13 to lead US#20 Marcus to victory. Undefeated Chelsey Sviensson ran wild to a 10:45 two-mile victory as well. Results
New Mexico:
Lobo Invitational (NM): US#9 Albuquerque Academy runs wild over competition in New Mexico Super-meet. Scoring 50 points behind a 36 second 1-5 spread. Results
Colorado:
Colorado Pre-State Invitational (CO): Cherry Creek senior Walter Shafer dominates with a 15:32.57 5K to lead Cherry Creek to the 5A team title. In girls 5A Highlands Ranch goes 1,2,3,9,38 to score 53 team points. Notably absent were both Fort Collins and Classical Academy. Results
