Micah Trusty, a first year student at Friends' Central High School in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, ran the freshman lead in the 600m at the DVGTCA Meet #2 in December. It was the freshman's first and only 600m of the season and the 1:36.53 has stood strong.
Trusty moved on from the 600m and put her focus on the 800m for the rest of her indoor season. In her first 800m of the season she ran 2:23.39, and this past weekend she ran a new PR of 2:10.31 at the PTFCA Indoor State Championship.
In just two months, she dropped 13 seconds at the distance. If her consistent drop is any indication what her outdoor season will look like, Trusty might be looking at another freshman No. 1.
