#10 Arianna Griffiths/Fatima Cortes, Great Oak (SS)
Great Oak has been the dominant team in California for the past six years, having won the Division I team title over that time period. It's no surprise that the Wolfpack would have several team members ranked in the top 10 as Coach Doug Soles believes that this may be his strongest group to date. Leading off in our top 10 are teammates Arianna Griffiths (Kirby Lee photo above) and Fatima Cortes (Matt Masin photo below). Along with another teammate who will be ranked later, Great Oak has quite a threesome at the front end of most races. At the Woodbridge Classic, Griffiths finished in 7th place followed by Cortes in 11th place. During the track and field season, Griffiths posted PRs of 4:47.81 and 10:32.27 while Cortes was just a tick better at 4:46.73 and 10:25.90.
