There's a very strong likelihood that new indoor national standards will be set at the Yale Track Classic this weekend at Cox Cage.

But perhaps no race has as much punch as the girls and boys 3K on Saturday, where as many as five top 10 marks on each side will almost certainly go down considering the talent scheduled to line up.

As many as 18 boys enter with seed times at or below the current top 10 national list, while five girls enter with legitimate opportunities to race under the standard for the nation's top 10 times currently.

And there are some real battles scheduled to take place, too.

Perhaps the most thrilling could be a Foot Locker Nationals top five finisher, Katherine Lee (9:38.6), versus an NXN top 26 finisher, Lydia Olivere (10:05.9), with both looking to become just the fourth and fifth girls nationally to drop a sub-10 time on the season. Shenendehowa's Olivia Lomascolo will also be going for a sub-10 time as well.
