4. Emily Venters, Boise State

Another former Kansas athlete and Lawrence Free State High graduate, Venters finished third for the FloXC No. 8 Boise State women at the West Regional, where the Broncos finished fourth overall. 

Venters adds quality depth to the Boise State program, which is ranked No. 8 in the country and features Kenai Central High graduate and Broncos No. 1 Allie Ostrander. 

Venters was 22nd overall at the West Regional in a 6K best of 20:11.80 and was seventh at the Mountain West Conference, finishing in 20:55.60, helping the Broncos to a second-place finish. 

She was 62nd at Nuttycombe on October 13, finishing in 20:54.20. Her points will matter in the NCAA Championship race.
