The Top 10 Freshmen Women To Make An Impact At NCAAs

3. Cailie Logue, Iowa State

The multiple state champion from Girard High in Kansas has made an immediate impact for the FloXC No. 18 Cyclones, becoming the team's No. 1 runner.

And so her performance remains instrumental in the success of Iowa State at the NCAA Championships. Based on prior efforts, her work should translate well to the field.

She's coming off her best run at 6K on November 10 at the Midwest Regional, where she placed third overall in 20:13.65 as her Cyclones won the Midwest title with 90 points over Oklahoma State.

She was fourth at the Big 12 Championships (20:14.90) and 30th at the Nuttycombe Invitational.

Logue isn't even the only impact freshman on her team, either. Amanda Vestri, a Webster Thomas (NY) High graduate, was 11th overall and third for the Cyclones at Midwest, finishing in  20:29.50.
