When the Miami Northwestern (Fl.) High boys converted on a time of 3:10.56 seconds this season at the Pepsi Florida Relays, it represented a new US No. 1 time and was the No. 3 best effort over the last decade, but it failed to break into the all-time top 35.
Union Catholic (NJ) High was the latest in the girls field to do it back in 2015. Sydney McLaughlin anchored the team to a time of 3:35.90, which stands No. 5 all-time, but No. 1 over the last 10 years.
