In 2017, FloTrack and MileSplit traveled to Union Catholic High School in New Jersey to profile one of the sport's rising young stars, Sydney McLaughlin. On Friday, the New Jersey native once again broke her World record in the 400 meter hurdles -- for the fourth time in the past year and a half -- at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, becoming the first women to ever cross the 50-second threshold in the event.
