Lehi's Ryan Raff pulled off a win over American Fork's Casey Clinger on the 3200m at the BYU High School Invitational.
Raff just edged out Clinger at the line running 9:04.51. Clinger placed 2nd running 9:04.84. Rounding out the top three was Ogden's Garrett Barton who ran a 9:04.95. The top 10 in the race were only divided by 6 seconds.
Clinger came back out guns blazing and dropped the new US No. 3 time of 4:06.22 on the 1600m. He was followed by teammate and fellow BYU commit Patrick Parker who ran 4:09.14.
Later Saturday evening Clinger wrapped up his three race weekend to come back and run 1:55.01 in the 800m and finish 3rd in his heat.
