The defending NXN champions and No. 1 ranked Fayetteville-Manlius girls scored just 19 points to win the Varsity 2 race at the Chittenango Invitational in New York. Defending New York state champion Claire Walters led the pack with an 18:38.5 win and the rest of the top five placed third through sixth. Eighth-grader Brooke Rauber of Tully High School was the only one to split up the Hornets pack as she ran 18:51 for runner-up honors.
