Thomas Ratcliffe, Sammy Watson Star At Adrian Martinez Classic
Thomas Ratcliffe of Concord Carlisle, Mass. ran 4:01.5 to place eighth in the High Performance Men's Mile at the Adrian Martinez Classic on Thursday night on his home track. The Stanford commit is the fourth-fastest miler of 2016, behind fellow 4:01 performer Austin Tamagno, plus sub-four runners Drew Hunter and Michael Slagowski. Ratcliffe's mark stands as a new Massachusetts state record and New England record.

Watson's time is a new national leading mark and is just off the qualifying standard of 2:03.00 to enter the U.S. Olympic Trials in July.
