MSTCA Elite LIVE on MileSplit: Six Events to Watch

Boys 4x200 & 4x800

The #1 and #2 teams in the state of Massachusetts, Norton and Andover, competed in separate divisions (Norton D4, Andover D1) at the MSTCA State Relays two weeks ago. Now that they're in the same meet, Chelmsford's 1:31.33 meet record could well go down.  Norton ran 1:31.76 and Andover ran 1:32.30 at beginning of the month, and additional fitness and superior competition should seriously lower those times.

In the 4x800, the same situation applies. The three teams that have already broken 8:10 this winter--Cambridge Rindge & Latin, Algonquin, and Lexington--will all be in the same race on Sunday. That means that Amherst's 8:04.84 from last year will likely not make it to its first birthday as the meet record.
