Yale Track Classic: The Four Spiciest Events

The spice: This is the season opener in the signature event for one of that event's best athletes ever. DeBalsi's 9:55.05 two mile (from her sophomore spring) has only been beaten by Mary Cain, Bethan Knights, and Aisling Cuffe in the last twenty years. While she didn't quite reach that as a junior, DeBalsi did run 10:03 last year at Brooks PR and came within two seconds of her mile PR. DeBalsi is still pretty close to the height of her powers. And for all of her 3200/2M excellence, this is her indoor 3K career debut. (She's gone 9:51 and 9:34 at the Penn Relays the last two years)

This race was won in 10:09 last year; the US #1 mark is currently 9:40.
