1. What was your hardest workout this season?

I would say my hardest workout this season was one of our first tempo runs at the beginning of the season which was 6 miles at 5:05 to 5:00 pace.

2. What was your team's (or your own) biggest challenge this season?

My team's biggest challenge was trying to get healthy and recover from so many injuries while still competing. We ended up being back on top while our 3rd man was out the whole season.

3. How do you balance enjoying the nationals experience while still focusing on competing?

The way I balance the experience of enjoying nationals while focusing on competing is by understanding the significance of both. I understand that a lot of people do not get to experience this opportunity and I plan on making the most of it both enjoying the moment and focusing.

4. How do you manage peaking for the state meet vs. peaking for regionals/nationals?

Well for the state meet, for me it's more conservative because what matters is the competition. Only if you're shooting for a state title or for the podium. As to Going to the national Level You run your heart out and leave everything in the course because a national meet is more competitive. That's where I look forward to peeking on my 5k.

5. If you could be a Voodoo Donut, what kind would you be and why?

(If you don't know what Voodoo Doughnuts are, check out their website here. Essentially, they are a Portland institution that creates the most outrageous, tasty, hipster donuts we've ever seen. This isn't an ad, we swear....)

I would be the Rapper's Delight Doughnut Because it takes me to the clouds after I take a bite out of it. (I love donuts Btw)

6. Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or one hundred duck-sized horses?

I'm more of a lover than a fighter, I'd try cuddling with the horse-sized duck.
