The state of California has a special group of super sophomores in track & field. Not only do they have the recent New Balance Nationals 200 meter champ and current US leader in the 100 in Lauren Rain Williams, but have the nation's top outdoor returnees in the 400 with Long Beach Poly's Kaelin Roberts (pictured left by Margot Kelly) and Piedmont Hills' Reonna Collier (pictured right by Kirby Lee/Image of Sport). Both Roberts and Collier won California state titles last spring remarkable as 9th graders with Roberts as a 52.52 winner in the 400 and Collier taking the 300 hurdles title in 40.90.

A look at the top 100 fastest returnees in the country from last year's outdoor season in the girls sprints/hurdles events of the 100, 200, 400, 110H, 300H, and 400H.
