Put in hurdles in her, she is fast. Take hurdles away from her, Sydney McLaughlin is super fast. At the New Jersey Meet of Championships, the Union Catholic sophomore McLaughlin set the meet record and established the US #1 despite running on a flat track with one of the fastest times ever by an underclassmen indoors at 53.72. McLaughlin was a national leader this winter in 3 events with the 55 meter hurdles and 300 meter dash. She torched the 300 at the Armory Track Invitational winning with a US #2 all-time performance of 37.49 to break the sophomore national class record in the event.
