Fiona O'Keeffe pulls off the back-to-back State Championship victory as only a junior. She is the top NXN returner and will be heading back there in a week as she torches the field with her 16:57 performacne on the hilly Woodward Park course. With no Efraimson, Baxter, or Cranny, is O'Keeffe the girl to be crowned next NXN Champ? She certainly is coming on at the right time. Earlier this season she lost to Destiny Collins at Clovis Invite (same course as today), but beat her at Mt. SAC and made it clear after today she is the one to be feared in Portland.
