
Utah state champion Conner Mantz comes back for his senior year as the fastest 5K runner in the country with his 14:32.5 race at his cross country regional meet performance last October. Mantz also won a national title indoors on the track in the 5K with an even faster performance this fall season best with a 14:24 victory at the New Balance Nationals. Last week, Mantz nearly made the World Junior team in the men's 10K with a third place finish of 31:01.25 to essentially run two 15:30 5K's back to back to exhibit his strength and endurance at the longer distance.
