The Lowdown

Ogbonnia, a punishing defensive tackle with good footwork and hands, finished the track and field season in 2017 with a US No. 4 mark in the shot put, which he marked at the District 19 meet in April. He also finished the season ranked No. 12 in Texas in the discus. Both events could see improvement from Ogonnia this spring track season. And looking ahead, any program that lands Ogbonnia should consider enrolling him with the track team, too. With the requisite skill-set and honed training that has granted the football player quality PRs, he could easily slide into any squad.
