The Lowdown

Griffin's track background isn't as prolific as those above him, though you shouldn't sleep on his ability. Griffin's 44-footer in the TJ lands him just outside California's top 50 leapers and his credentials in the LJ are not to be discounted, either. Griffin likely would fare better with more exclusivity in the sport, though we can understand the delicate balance between both sports. It remains to be seen whether Griffin will compete in track in college, though he's certainly talented enough to be on a roster. If Griffin does in fact sign with Southern California, he could follow in the footsteps of former Trojan Adoree Jackson, who was an All-American in track before he eventually was drafted by the Tennessee Titans.
