Big marks produced Tuesday in VA: Karimah Shepherd US #1 TJ & James Taylor US #2 LJ

Tuesday evening at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, VA for the Southeastern District Quad Meet, Grassfield's Karimah Shepherd and Nansemond River's James Taylor posted incredible marks in the jumping events. Shepherd, the current national leader in the long jump and triple jump, improved her best in the triple with her fourth 40+ foot performance of the season in a VA #6 all-time mark of 41'2.50". Taylor, ranked #2 in the 300 meter dash and #3 in the 500 meter dash nationally, moved up in the national rankings with his performance Tuesday in the long jump with a personal best mark of 24'8" to rank him second in the nation only behind Marquis Goodwin from Texas (24'11"). Historically, Taylor's performance ranks him #8 all-time in Virginia high school indoor history.
