Jenks is a nine-time Iowa state champion with personal records of 2:09 for 800m, 4:42 for the Mile, 10:06 for two mile, 16:57 for 5k (XC) and 16:37 for 5k (track). She chose the Bears over Arizona State and Oklahoma State.

She is a multiple-time All-American and former elite level triathlete. She competed at both NXN and Foot Locker last year, where she finished 18th and 15th, respectively. Her best finish at Foot Locker was as a sophomore in 2013, when she placed ninth overall. On the track, Jenks placed runner-up in the 5k at the 2014 New Balance Nationals Indoor and third at the 2015 indoor nationals. As a freshman, she took third at New Balance Nationals Outdoors in the mile. For all her accolades, Jenks' most unique accomplishment may be earning a silver medal in the World Youth Olympic Games triathlon.

The talented swimmer usually swims for her high school during the fall. She will not debut until the Foot Locker and NXN region meets.

The news broke yesterday, not only for media outlets but for the Jenks family - as referenced in Stephanie's most recent instagram post.

Sorry Jenn
