14. Adam Kelly (RI) - Boys Hammer Throw Champion

The two-time national champ indoors in the weight throw, Adam Kelly finally won his first outdoor title in the hammer. He had to defeat his Barrington (RI) junior teammate Bobby Colantonio, who had his number for much of the spring as well as the US #1 mark in the event at 243'7".

Kelly launched a five foot personal best mark in the hammer throw down in Greensboro improving upon his US #2 performance with a throw of 241'7" to win the New Balance Nationals competition and lead a top 6 state which included 5 from his home state of Rhode Island.
