Eight Athletes to Compete on Carifta Games' Opening Day Apr 06, 2012

APRIL 6—With the colorful opening ceremony out the way to kick off the 41st LIME Carifta Games this evening at the National Stadium in Devonshire, Bermuda, 8 of the 16 athletes will get down to business on Saturday morning.

Jamaica and Bahamas lead the way at CARIFTA Day 2 Apr 09, 2012

The Carifta Games curtain raiser largely belonged to Jamaica who claimed an impressive 27 medals on day one of the regional track and field event at the National Sports Centre.Bahamas, however, showed they are emerging as a force to be reckoned, especially in the sprint events, following their own impressive haul of 13 medals.Carifta hosts Bermuda scooped a pair of medals with Kyrah Scraders winning silver and Taylor-Ashley Bean claiming bronze.Scraders came second in the Under-17 girls 1500m in (via The Royal Gazette)

Warner, 4x100m Relay Team Bring Record Medal Hall to Five Apr 09, 2012

BERMUDA, APRIL 9— Lakeisha “Mimi” Warner and the U17 Girls 4x100m Relay team—coupled with Trevia Gumbs’ Shot Put silver during the morning session—brought the territory’s medal count to a record five at the end of day two in the 41st LIME Carifta Games, which wraps up today at the National Stadium in Devonshire, Bermuda.

BVI Ends Most Successful Carifta Games Mission With Five Medals Apr 11, 2012

DEVONSHIRE, BERMUDA, APRIL 11—Despite an Under 17 Girls 200m bronze medal slipped away when Nelda Huggins stepped on the line and was subsequently disqualified, the BVI wrapped up its most successful mission ever at the premier regional Jr. Track and Field Championships.
