Entries: Each team may enter 2 competitors for each individual event. If you have 3 or more athletes that have achieved a Region qualifying mark in the Spring 2024 season, please email Matt Hiserman with all names and meet in which marks were achieved. Schools may also enter ONE 4x800, ONE 4x100 and ONE 4x400 meter relay team. All entries to the Region 2B meet must be entered online at Milestat. Entry deadline is Monday, May 20th at 10 PM. If you use hand times, they must be rounded up to the nearest tenth, and add .24. Scratches must be made by Wednesday, May 22nd at Noon. We will follow the declaration rule for running events. You may scratch in a running event and still participate in following events with no penalty which also includes relays. However, if you are declared in your maximum number of events, you cannot scratch one of those and run in a relay. Athletes may participate only in events entered on your Milestat entry form. Please include your relay members and alternates on your roster or email them and alternates on the verification form. A performance list will be posted on Milestat after all entries are in for corrections and confirmation. Once all corrections are confirmed, a meet program will be sent with all flights and heats. ALL ENTRY TIMES/MARKS MUST BE FROM A SPRING 2024 OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD MEET!

Facilities: The East Rockingham track is 400 meters/8 lanes. The track surface is rubberized. The shot and discus circles are concrete. Flats or inch spikes may be used on the runways and track. We will use the field edge for line-ups for each running event. During the entire meet only athletes competing in current and upcoming events will be allowed on the field edge. Warm-ups need to be done on the back straightaway or in the parking lot closest to the stadium. No one can be in the main school parking lot or East Rockingham High School. No coaches, parents or spectators will be allowed inside the trackfence. Once the coaches meeting is over, all coaches and non-participating athletes need to be outside of the track fence. There are ample areas to see the field events.
Weighing of shot and discus will take place near the gate. Shots and discus that are impounded may be picked up at the conclusion of the meet at the Bullpen.
Awards & Scoring: 8 places will be scored on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 point system, the Region will medal the Top 3 places in each event and award Male/Female MVP for Top Point Scorer. Team championship and runner-up trophies will also be presented at the end of the meet.
Officiating Assignments: Schools will be assigned field events to run or relay exchange zones to judge during the 4 x 100 relay. We are asking that each school provide 2 coaches to be turn judges/exchange zone judges for the relay events. These people must be knowledgeable in the event they are running. Students may assist with tasks such as raking pits or rolling implements back. Assignments are as follows:

Admissions:Adults and K-12 students - $8.00 each. NO charge for pre-school children. State and Regional Activities passes will be honored. Meet programs and live results can be found onwww.blueridgetiming.com
Passes: The following passes will be honored: VHSCA, VHSL Coaches Pass, VAASP, VIAAA, VHSL Principals Pass, and working press with identification. The Bull Run District does not accept VHSL State Event passes or County/School ID badges
Concessions: Will be available by the East Rockingham HS Boosters
State Track: Coaches, please note the following: State Class 2 Track entries will be done on Milestat. Check the entry deadline and make sure you have all relay members and alternates on your rosters. Also make sure you are entering for Class 2. The top 4 individuals and the top 4 relays will move on to the State Class 2 Track & Field Championships as well as those individuals and relays that have met the State qualifying standards in a state qualifying meet.
