Individual Entry Limits
An athlete can compete in 5 total events, no more than 4 field events, no more than 3 running events. If the athlete competes in the 3200 meter run, they can only compete in one more running event.
Coaches or ADs need to enter their teams in Milestat.com. Please get on the website as soon as possible, so we can avoid any problems. The meet is open for teams to register and will close Monday May 16th at 7:00 PM. There is a password to register for the Frederick County Junior League meet.
SUBSTITUTES: Coaches may scratch (no replacements) at the coaches meeting. If you scratch an athlete from an event at any time during the meet, they are still eligible to compete.
* If you scratch an athlete from a running event, they can still compete in the rest of the events they were entered in for the meet. You cannot scratch them from an event during any point at the meet and then add them to another event or relay.
Example 1: The following abides by the rule: Jack missed the 200m dash because he was in the restroom; he can still run the 4x400m relay if he was listed for that event. Example 2: The following is against the rule: Jill is scratched from the 200m dash and then is added to the 4x400m relay team to take the spot of another teammate.

TRACK: 6 lanes, all weather track. No spikes longer than 1/4 showing.
TRIALS: NO TRIALS, ALL FINALS!
FINALS: All races 800m & longer will start on the parabola.
4x400m relay - 2 turn stagger (1st runner runs in lane, 2nd runner able to break after they leave the exchange zone)
ATHLETES: Please keep your athletes out of the track area unless participating in an event.
PARENTS: Should not be in the infield and should not approach meet personnel, including JWHS TF athletes!!!!!
ELECTRONICS: We will follow the lead of the VHSL by not allowing any electronics in the competition area. This includes all field events and anywhere inside fence surrounding the track.
UNIFORMS: The uniform rule will be in effect. Relays will be checked in the bull pen. We do not want to disqualify athletes, so we will do our best to remind athletes. If they violate the uniform and/or electronics rule after being warned, they will be disqualified from their event.
FALSE START: First false start is charged to the field and the second one is charged to the runner and they are DQ.
EVENT CALL: Please have athletes heading to the bullpen by 2ndt call.
BLOCKS: Will be provided.
FACILITIES: There will be no dressing facilities available. Restrooms are located at the field house. JWHS Track and Field will have a concession stand.
PRESS BOX: Please keep athletes out of the press box. Results will be posted on MileStat.com
TRASH: Please have your athletes police their area after the meet.
JUDGES: Most events, especially in the field, will be run by JWHS T&F athletes under the supervision of an adult. Please bring any questions or concerns to the adult in charge at the event area.
PROBLEMS: See Brad Symons or the meet referee during the meet.
