Broadwater Academy on Virginia's Eastern Shore is hosting one of the few track & field meets in the United States that features track events contested on a grass surface.
Running events will consist of a one-mile run and relays run on a 400m track that is accurately measured, mowed low, and rolled as flat as possible.
Field events will be contested on paved surfaces, including separate discus and shot put circles and a rubberized runway for LJ, TJ, and PV events. Field events will be conducted in an open pit format (with the exceptions being HJ and PV). This meet presents a great opportunity for your student-athletes to try new events without high-stakes pressure, so please encourage them to try new field events.
Events in the field and on the track will begin at 3:45 PM
Track events are listed below. Breaks will be taken as needed. We are open to adding other events and adjusting event order as requested.
