Meet Information
Good Day Coaches,
It's Championship time again. The Southern Region Middle School Championship will be held at the Wordy Hicks Memorial Stadium, located Wilkinson County High School, Woodville, Mississippi @ 4:30 p.m.
Just a few rules that we must comply with.
1) All coaches and participants must be on time and ready to compete.
2) The only time you will be allowed to replace an athlete is during the coaches meeting.
3) All events are final. So you are responsible for having your runner, jumper , or thrower where they are suppose to be.
4) All teams will set up on the home side of the stadium and only allowed to warmup in the center field. Once running events starts the track will be closed.
5) 4 Events per athlete is allowed
6). This is a middle school meet, and we will keep that integrity. If any team is found to have anything other than a middle school athlete participating (7th-8th) that team will be immediately dis-qualified from the contest and will be asked to leave the stadium. Lets not cheat and discourage our younger athletes by taking the fun out of their meet. Remember these kids know each other!!!!!!!
The fee for this meet is 150.00 per team. 75.00 for boys and 75.00 for girls. If you have both the total amount will be $150.00. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: WILLIAM WINANS MIDDLE SCHOOL; MEMO: TRACK AND FIELD FEES.
1st place medals will be awarded along with 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall trophies will be awarded to the overall winners at the conclusion of the meet.
So let's come together and have a great meet and let our athletes show off their talents by becoming the 2023- 2024 district champions.
