Blue Shoes (Girls & Boys) INVITATIONAL TRACK MEET

SATURDAY, April 29, 2023

9am-3pm

The Blue Shoes Track and Field Meet will be held at Horseheads High School on

Saturday, April 29th starting at 9am, with a scratch coaches meeting at 8:30

AM in the infield of the stadium. The entry fee is $250 per mixed team, $125 for just a boy's or girls' team. Checks should be made out to the Horseheads Runners' Booster Club, and mailed to Horseheads High School Athletic

 We will be using a FAT system for all races.

 Pin spikes may be worn in all events.

Entries will be done on MileSplit - Blue Shoes Invitational

 The first throw or jump in the field events will be measured, but after that, a throw or jump below the standard will not be measured. The standards are as follows:

Shot Put Girls (25')            Boys (35')

Disc Girls (70')                   Boys (110')

Long Jump Girls (13')        Boys (17')

Triple Jump Girls (27')        Boys (37')

High Jump Girls (4' 4")        Boys (5' 4")

Starting Height Pole Vault Girls (7' 0")        

Boys (9' 6") Starting Height

Scratches will be done on paper at the finish line area, before the coaches meeting. There will

be no additions before the meet.

Awards at Blue Shoes will be given to the top Boys and Girls team, and to places 1-6 in all events. Individuals will receive a champion shirt for 1^st Place, and the top 6 places will receive ribbons. There will be an award for the outstanding boys track performer, the outstanding boys field performer, the outstanding girls track performer and the outstanding girls field performer.
