Welcome to the 41st annual Eagle Invitational, held at Oregon Clay High School on Friday May 3rd, 2024.
Teams: Bedford, Start, Central Catholic, Oregon Clay, Perrysburg, Sylvania Southview, St. Johns, St. Ursula and Whitmer.
Entries: Entries will be done online at oh.milesplit.com. 3 athletes per throwing event, 2 athletes for all other events. Entries will open 6:00am Monday April 25th, 2024, and entries will close 10:00pm Wednesday May 1st, 2024. Entries will be verified through OhMileSplit. Scratches can be made at the meet in the press box.
Finals: All races will be run as finals. The 8 competitors with the fastest submitted times will compete in the second section.
Facilities: We have an 8-lane all weather track, with all-weather surfaces on the jumping surfaces as well. Please use 1/8 or 1/4 inch spikes only. Also, no chalk is to be used for marking. Tape is acceptable for the jumps, and tennis balls (provided) should be used for the relays. Please supply your own batons.
Meeting: There will be a short coaches meeting at 3:30pm near the concession stand.
Hospitality: We will have a hospitality room for coaches and officials. Serving a chicken dinner. tickets will be in coaches packets.
Camps: All team camps will be in the East stands or North grassy area. Please no spikes in the stands. Please clean up your area at the conclusion of the meet.Ironman/Woman Relay: The 4 x 100 Thrower Relay is open to shot putters and discus throwers ONLY. In order for us to keep this event legal, competitors must carry a baton and will be scored (10-8-6-4-3-2-1). For the Thrower Relay, YOU MUST use athletes who have competed in either the shot put or discus events at the meet today. If you have the same THREE individuals throwing both shot put and discus in todays meet, only then may you include another thrower from your team that is not in any other event during the meet to compete in the relay. This will be checked and failure to comply may result in disqualification from the event.
Scoring: We will score 7 places 10-8-6-4-3-2-1
Awards: There will be team awards for the champion and runner-up. First place finishers will receive plaques. Medals will be awarded for second and third place.
