Meet Information

DATE: Thursday, April 25th, 2024

PLACE: George Washington High School

ADMISSION: Spectator tickets will be sold at the gate at a rate of $7 per person.

ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS: Coaches will enter their athletes by using milestat.com online entry service. 

Entry deadline is Tuesday, April 23rd by 11:59 pm. 

      ENTRY LIMITATIONS

  • Individual Running Events - 6 entries per school per event 

  • Relay Events - 1 relay per school per event

  • Field Events - 4 entries per school per event

**If the number of entries for the 1600 and 3200 meter runs total less than one full heat per gender, then both genders will be combined into one heat.

VENUE INFORMATION: The GW track facility includes a synthetic eight-lane NCAA track, high jump and pole vault setups, two sand pits for jumps, and separate throwing areas for shot put and discus.

COACHES MEETING - 4:40 at the Finish Line area.

MEET SCHEDULE: FIELD events will begin at 5:00 pm in addition to the 4x800 meter relay.  

All other running events will follow a rolling schedule beginning with the 100 meter hurdles at 5:45.

For field events, athletes must remember to check out with the event clerk before leaving to participate in a running event. Running events take priority over field events and will not be delayed.

       FIELD EVENTS: 5:00 Start - Run throughs should be completed prior to 5:00.

  • Long Jump followed/Triple Jump - Two runways - Boys (Track side), Girls (Discus side)

  • High Jump - Girls followed by Boys - Starting Heights: Girls 4 feet and Boys 5 feet

  • Shot Put - Girls followed by Boys

  • Discus - Boys followed by Girls

  • Pole Vault - Boys and Girls SIMULTANEOUSLY on the same runway - Starting Height 7 feet

TIMING: FAT timing will be provided by SnapTiming. Cameras will be set up at the finish line.

BULLPEN: Located by the scoreboard.  All athletes must check into the bullpen by final call.

SPIKES: Only pyramid spikes or shorter are permissible and will be checked at the check in table.

RESULTS: There will be a LIVE Results link available on the meet page posted to Milestat.  

Final results will also be posted to the meet page in Milestat. 

ATHLETIC TRAINERS: Certified athletic trainers will be available for limited services, located near the finish line. 

TENTS: Must be erected in the bleacher area only or in the grassy area near the 200 meter start..

DRESSING AREA: There will be no dressing area provided; however, restrooms are located in the field house on the visitors side.

AWARDS: There are no awards for this meet. 

PARKING & SPECTATOR INFORMATION - Please also see the map on the next page.

         Gates open for one hour prior to the start of the meet.

         Teams will drop off at the far end of the practice field and walk to the stadium.

         Team buses will park in the auditorium parking lot

         All Teams must sit in the visitor side of the stadium.

         Athletes must stay off the football field. Only workers and coaches are allowed. 

         The practice field will be used for warm ups.

         Fans are asked to park on the East side of the building using any of the parking lots. You may also park in the gravel lot near the baseball field.

         Handicap Parking will be inside the stadium fencing, you must have a handicap license plate or hanging tag.
