Meet Information

Barren County High School has an 8-lane rubber track, with a rubber area for the high jump, as well as rubber runways for the pole vault and sand pit. The shot and discus cage are an extremely brief walk to the other end of the stadium, located at the practice football field. All events will be contested, on a rolling schedule.

Field events will occur in the following order:

BOYS DISCUS - GIRLS DISCUS

GIRLS SHOT PUT - BOYS SHOT PUT

GIRLS POLE VAULT - BOYS POLE VAULT

GIRLS LONG JUMP - BOYS LONG JUMP (We only have one sand pit, so at the conclusion of long jump, the pit will be reopened for a time to let triple jump athletes warm up prior to competition.)

GIRLS TRIPLE JUMP - BOYS TRIPLE JUMP

BOYS HIGH JUMP - GIRLS HIGH JUMP

Field athletes will be expected to check in at the site of their event by the third and final call given. Sprinters and hurdlers will check in at the start site of their event - i.e. 100/110 HH and 100m Dash at the 100m mark. Distance athletes and all relays will check in and be assigned lanes in the end zone nearest the start/finish line on the track.

Start Time 5:00 PM CST - Coach Terry Reed will be the licensed official and starter for the meet.

CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS: There will be an admission fee of $5 for spectators. CASH ONLY - Please notify your fans accordingly. Children aged 10 and under will be allowed to enter for free.

Entrance for athletes and spectators will be at the Chapatcha Gaunce Athletic Complex. Athletes will be able to warm up outside of the stadium, as well as on the infield. Buses may park in the Innovation Zone / ATC parking lot in front of the Innovation Zone building (behind the stadium), or in the BCHS student parking lot next to the softball field and JROTC building.
