Bluegrass Conference MS Championships / Elementary Derby 2024

2024 Bluegrass Conference Middle School Championships and Elementary Derby Meet

We plan to begin at 10:00 AM.

The meet is at the Lexington Christian Academy campus in Lexington on Reynolds Road.

Bluegrass Conference Middle School Division (Division 3)

This will be a normal Middle School Invitational for schools in the Bluegrass Conference:

• LCA
• Bondurant Middle
• Bourbon County Middle
• Campbell Junior High
• Elkhorn Middle
• Georgetown Middle
• Harrison County Middle
• McNabb Middle
• Royal Spring Middle
• Scott County Middle
• Paris Middle
• Woodford County Middle

Attending schools can enter 2 athletes and 1 relay per event. All Middle School State events will be contested. There are no entry fees for Bluegrass Conference Schools (dues were paid to Bluegrass Conference). All  attending teams will be assigned to help at different field events by supplying one coach and a few parent volunteers.

Bluegrass Conference Awards

The Bluegrass Conference is providing medals for the top 3 finishers in each event, and also for the top 2 teams.

Elementary Derby Information

Elementary Divisions - open to ANY school (great opportunity for middle school teams who also have elementary runners). Elementarty athletes CANNOT be used in Middle School events.

There are two different elementary divisions. Division 1 is for Grades K-3 and Division 2 is for Grades 4-5. Elementary Athletes can participate in a maximum of 3 events total.

Please make sure when you register that you enter your athletes in the correct DIVISION for their School Year.

The following events will be setup for Grades K-3 and Grades 4-5.

• 4x800m Relay (you can mix grades as needed)
• 100m Dash
• 1600m run
• 4x100m relay (you can mix grades as needed)
• 400m dash
• 800m run
• 200m dash
• 4x400m Relay (you can mix grades as needed)
•  Long Jump
• Shot Put (6#)
• TurboJav (300g)
