B-P CO-ED RELAYS

Date: Friday April 19, 2024

Time: Track and Field events will start at 4:00pm

Where: Broadalbin-Perth High School Track & Field Complex

Entries: All entries are due on MileSplit by midnight on Wednesday, April 17. When entering teams in the 4x1600, 4x100, DMR, 4x800, 4x200, SMR, and 4 x400 please put a time your co-ed team could realistically run as one (Please put alternates down and make scratches before the meet starts.) All athletes competing in the hurdle and field events should be entered as individuals for seeding purposes and will compete individually, but scored as a relay team. Relays must consist of 2 female and 2 male athletes to score and be eligible for awards.

Entry Fees: $300.00 per school. Makes checks payable to Broadalbin-Perth Track & Field. Payment must be made by Monday, April 15, 2024.

Scoring: All relays will be scored by combining the distance or times of all 4 relay members (2 females and 2 males). Teams will get points for places 1-6. Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1

Awards: The top 3 teams in each relay will receive custom awards for all 4 competitors. The winning team will receive a custom plaque

Timing: Fully Automatic Timing courtesy of Underdog Timing 

Concessions and T-Shirts: Custom t-shirts and concessions will be available for purchase at our concession stand

TRACK EVENTS: All track relays will be run with the first 2 legs being run by female athletes and last 2 legs run by male athletes. Hurdle races will be seeded like a normal track meet (slow to fast) with female athletes running first and male athletes running after all female races have finished

FIELD EVENTS: All field relays will be flighted by individual athletes and separate gender. At the conclusion of each event the total distance of all 4 athletes' best jumps or throws will be combined to determine the places. In the event of a tie, the teams top performer will separate the two.

  • 4:00pm Start - Girls Long Jump (Will take place in the pit facing school) Athletes will be flighted and get 4 jumps.

  • 4:00pm Start Boys Long Jump ( Will take place in the pit facing Pine Street) Athletes will be flighted and get 4 jumps.

  • Girls Triple Jump will start 30 minutes after Girls Long Jump Finishes (Will take place in the pit facing school) Athletes will be flighted and get 4 jumps.

  • Boys Triple Jump will start 30 minutes after Boys Long Jump Finishes (Will take place in the pit facing Pine Street) Athletes will be flighted and get 4 jumps.

  • 4:00pm Start - Girls High Jump followed by Boys High Jump: Girls Opening Height is 36 up by 2, Boys Opening Height is 46 up by 2

  • 4:00pm Start - Boys Pole Vault followed by Girls Pole Vault: Girls Opening Height is 56 up by 6, Boys Opening Height is 70 up by 6

  • 4:00pm Start - Girls Shot Put followed by Boys Shot Put: Flighted worst to best. Athletes will get 4 throws.

  • 4:00pm Start - Boys Discus followed by Girls Discus: Flighted worst to best. Athletes will get 4 throws.
