CAC VARSITY AND JR. HIGH CONFERENCE TRACK MEET

APRIl 24th, 2024

BOB MONNIG  COMMUNITY TRACK

                   Host: Cairo

CAC Conference meet will be held at the all weather track at the Glasgow Community Track. The meet will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the scratch meeting at 8:30. We will be utilizing MO.MILESPLIT for registration. Glasgow will provide a timing system. Schools will be asked to work at a field event. Each school will provide extra help for the event that  they are working. Entries must be entered by April 23th at 9:00 a.m. Entries will be downloaded after the deadline. 

Entries will be unlimited, but a maximum of three can score. Substitutions only at the scratch meeting. 

  1. Events will run on time as scheduled. Runners will report promptly when events are announced and will return to the finish line and stand in their lanes upon completion of the race.

  2. Jr. high will run, followed by high school. Field events will be jr. high girls/varsity girls and jr. high boys/varsity boys.

  3. Each contestant will be given four throws (Sr. high and Jr. high) for shot, disc, and javelin. Four jumps in the long jump and triple jump. This can be adjusted.

  4. We ask that only 3/16 inch or less spikes be worn on the track. Sneakers are recommended on the shot and disc pads.

  5. Bull pen will be located north of the track, near the pole vault.

  6. Medal at the top three and relay. You may pick up medals at the press box after the meet is concluded.

  7. Javelin will be located in the middle of the field. Athletes and patrons will be asked to leave the infield during the contest.

  8. Heats and lanes will be set up according to times turned in.

  9. Blocks will be provided.

  10. Starting height for the Pole Vault will be 6 for boys and 5 for girls. The bar will be successively elevated 3, 3, and 3 for the first five raises. (Meters will be utilized.)

  11. Height of the bar in the high jump will be set for the Sr. High girls at 4, and 5 for Sr. high boys. The bar will be successively elevated 2, 2, 2, and 1... Height of the bar in the high jump for Jr. high will be set at 3 '6 for girls and 4 for boys. The bar will be successively elevated by 2 increments. (Meters will be utilized.)

  12. All warmups will be made before the event starts. 

  13. Since the conference will be run on an eight lane track, eight places will be scored.

  14. All participants from each school must wear an approved school uniform....Relays must have the same uniform.

  15. We ask that coaches and team members police your area and pick up any trash.

  16. Coaches, please discuss the rules and regulations with your team. Let us all have a good first class meet.

  17. There will be a concession stand and bathrooms at the track. 

  18. Admission of $4.00 adults and $2.00 students will be charged.
