Track and Field Coach,
The East Prairie High School will be hosting the Annual Eva G. Hinshaw Memorial Invitational on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024.
The track at East Prairie is an all-weather, 400 meter, six lane track. The long jump and triple jump runways are the same surface. Athletes should wear 1/8 pyramid or 3/16 needle-nose spikes for this meet. All field events, excluding the pole vault, will take place. Discus is located on the North end of the track, Shot Put at the South end of the track, and Javelin will be held at the Junior High School across the street. Running events will start at 4:00pm. Check in/warm ups for field events will begin at 3:30pm and competition will begin at 3:45pm.
Field events will be conducted in the order listed below.
Girls Discus, Boys Discus
Boys Shot Put, Girls Shot Put
Girls High Jump, Boys High Jump
Girls Long Jump, Boys Long Jump - Cafeteria Style Ran Together
Boys Triple Jump, Girls Triple Jump - Cafeteria Style Ran Together
The meet will consist of two divisions: Boys and Girls. The entry fee will be $100.00 per division or $200.00 for both together. Please send the correct amount for the number of divisions in which you will be competing. Make checks payable to East Prairie R-II Schools. Entries will need to be submitted using MoMileSplit. Only online entries will be accepted. Registration will close on Monday, April 22nd at 10am. After registration is closed there will be no additions or replacements, scratches only.
Entry is limited to 2 participants per event per school except for relays which are limited to 1 entry per school. Athletes may participate in up to 4 events, but no more than 3 running events. Plaques will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each division. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event.
There will be a hospitality room with pizza from the Prairie Queen and a cooler with Gatorade and Water.
There will be a coaches meeting in the East Prairie High School Press Box at 3:20pm.
