Region 4A DII Track & Field Meet

Hosted by Hawkinsville High School

Address:  280 Broad Street Hawkinsville, GA 31036.Track is not at the High School.

Once you drop athletes off at the track, park your buses across the street at Broad St. Baptist Church

April 25^th - 26^th: 10:00 AM start on both days

We will have a coaches meeting once all teams are present in the middle of the field: 9:30am

Will consist of one coach from each school that represents both boys and

girls.  If anything comes up during the meet we will meet with those individuals only.

All timing will be fully automatic timing provided by Fast Feet Timing.

FIELD EVENTS ORDER

All Field events will be conducted as finals on day 1. In the long jump, triple jump, shot put and discus, each

competitor will receive 4 attempts with all attempts being measured and recorded. Starting height in high jump

Girls-4"-4"/boys-5'-4". Starting height in pole vault- Girls- 6'-0"/Boys-8'-0". The rules committee may elect to

raise/lower the opening heights in the high jump / pole vault if needed based on the field of entries.

Boys Pole Vault & Girls Pole Vault Combined

Any athlete competing in more than one field event being held at the same time must check in with the head official at both events. The verticals (high jump/pole vault) take priority over the throws and horizontal jumps. Once the height is raised in the high jump/pole vault, the crossbar will not be lowered.

RUNNING EVENTS ORDER.

Please Note that only coaches will be allowed to hold blocks. Athletes will not be allowed on the infield to hold

blocks.

All running events will be ran girls first followed by boys.

Any running event with 8 or less participants will be ran as a final on Day 2.

All events will be ran in heats with the exception of 1600 & 3200 meter runs unless the field size necessitates the

need for heats in the distance events.
