JIM TRIEMPLAR MEMORIAL TRACK & FIELD INVITATIONAL

FACILITY: A newly resurfaced (2020) 8 lane all-weather track. Spikes of (no longer) are recommended. Throwing surfaces are concrete. All Jumping surfaces are all-weather rubber.
SANCTION: This meet will be VHSL sanctioned for Virginia schools and border states only. VHSL approved non-member schools are also invited to participate.
EVENTS: We will offer all standard outdoor track & field events contested at the state meet as well as a JV 1600 meter and JV 200 meter events. The 3200 and the JV 1600 will be run first thing in the morning to beat the heat and give the athletes the best opportunity for a quality performance.
ENTRY LIMITATIONS: 2024 entry limitations per event:
Distance Events: 3200 - 4 entries max, 1600 - 3 entries max, JV1600 - 3 entries max
Sprints/Hurdles (110/100HH, 100, 300H, 400, 800) 3 entries max
Field Events (Shot put, Discus, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault) 3 entries max
Relays (4x800, 4x100, 4x400) 2 Relay entries max
JV1600m & JV200m are 3 entries and are only open to 9th grade runners. Athletes who compete in the JV events may not participate in the varsity division in any event including field events & relays.
**Additional entries to the above limitations can be made for $15.00 per runner & $25.00 per relay**
DEADLINES: The entries must be done online via the Milesplit online entry system. The entry cutoff will be 11:59pm, Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
ENTRY FEE: High School $200.00 per gender per team or $15.00 per individual. Team entry fee $400.00 (Each paid team will also receive all day coaches meals on Saturday and hospitality access located next to the concession stand available at the start of the meet.) Additional Entries can be made for a fee. See above details and include in the final payment.

AWARDS: The top three (3) individuals and the top relay team (1) will receive custom "Jim Triemplar Memorial Invitational" medals. The top two (2) teams will also receive custom engraved plaques.
CONCESSIONS: There will be a concession stand with a grill open during the meet.
T-SHIRTS: There will be 2024 Jim Triemplar Memorial Invitational meet t-shirts and apparel available at the meet provided by MSP Design Group!
ADMISSION: There will be an admission fee of $6.00 charged for all parents and spectators. Athletes and Coaches may enter and leave the facility through the clearly marked athlete gate. All others shall enter through the main entrance.
SCRATCHES: Please email any scratches as soon as possible. You may scratch the day of the meet, but no additions or substitutions will be accepted on the day of the meet. Please send all scratches to: smathews@hanover.k12.va.us up through Friday, May 10, 2024.
ENTRY PROCEDURE: All Teams will enter through Milestat at www.milestat.com. You must enter your team on Milestat in order to be entered in the meet. (No Exceptions) Coaches please be considerate and use accurate seeding marks to improve overall meet quality. Extra entries should be emailed to, Neil Mathews at smathews@hcps.us, no later than the entry deadline of 11:59pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
