Blue and Gold Invitational
Granville Varsity Track and Field Invitational
We formally invite you to the second annual Granville Blue and Gold Invitational! This is a Co-ed meet with several exciting events throughout. T-shirts will be for sale and there will be a concession stand. We hope to see you there!
Date: Saturday, April 27th, 2024 Time: Field Events start at 9:30 Track Events start at 10:00
Location: Sam Eppolito Field
Meet Information:
Facilities: A 6 lane Beynon BSS 100 Track. The facility includes Steeplechase, Two Jumping Pits, Pole Vault, High Jump, Shot put and Discus. 1/8pin or pyramid spikes and starting blocks are allowed on the track.
Scoring: Top 6 places: Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1
Entry Fees: $250.00 per co-ed team and $140 for a single team.

Entries: Each school will be allowed three (3) athletes in each event and one (1) team in each relay. Entries will be done using ny.milesplit.com. Each athlete is allowed to be in 4 events max.
Schools: The meet will be capped at 15 Schools. To secure your team has a spot at the meet, please send me an email at bdipresso@granvillecsd.org, to let me know your team will be attending.
Timining: Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) provided by Underdog Race Timing.
Deadline The deadline for entries is 10:00 pm on Thursday, April 25th.
for entries: You will be able to make scratches or substitutions on the day of the meet.
Awards:
A team trophy will be awarded to the winning team for boys and girls.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each individual event.
For all relay races, only the top 3 teams will receive medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The winning team of the Mixed 4x400 Relay will receive their first place medals and a T-shirt. Ribbons will be awarded to places fourth through sixth for each individual event, (except relay events).
Scratches: Due to the clerk at 8:30
Heats The running events will be seeded from slowest to fastest.
and flights: The field events will be placed in flights from shortest to longest distance.

4x400 Mixed Relay Rules:
1. There must be 2 Boy and 2 Girl athletes per team
2. The event will be run in order of Boy Girl Boy Girl.
3. If your team places 1st-6th, the points will be split between the boys and girls team.

All throwers will be flighted and will get 3 preliminary throws in shot put and discus. The top 7 will advance to the finals
Long Jump

All Jumpers will be flighted and will get 3 preliminary jumps in both long and triple. The top 7 advance to Finals.
High Jump

Progression: Girls 4-0 4-3 4-6 then by 2 inches
Boys 5-0 5-3 5-6 then by 2 inches
Pole Vault
9:30 Girls Starting Height 6 6 and then by 6
Followed by Boys Starting Height 80 and then by 6
