Gulf Coast Runners is thrilled to offer a FLYRA Middle School State Qualifier event for the middle school and elementary athletes of southwest Florida at the beautiful First Baptist Academy track & field facility in Naples!
FIRST BAPTIST ACADEMY - 3000 Orange Blossom Drive (corner of Livingston and Orange Blossom).
MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD EVENTS: Long Jump, Shot Put (boys 4kg and girls 3kg)
MIDDLE SCHOOL RUNNING EVENTS (see schedule/order below): 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3000, 4x400 Relay, 4x800 Relay
ELEMENTARY FIELD EVENT: Long Jump only
ELEMENTARY RUNNING EVENTS: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (Subject to slight change depending on number of entries!)
8:00 AM 3000 meter run. Girls + boys together!
8:30AM 4x800m relay (Boys and Girls run together) MAKE SURE ALL 4 RUNNERS ARE PRESENT OR YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RACE.
8:30 AM Field Events - Boys shot put followed by girls. Girls LJ, followed by boys, followed by elementary girls and boys.
9:30AM or at conclusion of field events (whichever is LATER). Will not start before 9:30. 100m, Elementary 100m, 1500m, Elementary 1500m, 400m, Elementary 400m, 200m, Elementary 200m, 800m, Elementary 800m, 4x400 Relay . All events are girls heats followed by boys.
AWARDS
Top 3 finishers in each middle school event will receive medals. Top 3 finishers in each elementary event will receive ribbons. Participation medals are also available to our elementary runners. Awards will be available for pickup as soon as official results are posted. We will also try to recognize State Qualifying performances over the PA as they happen.
PAYMENT/ENTRY FEES
Entry fees will be calculated for each individual entering as follows: $10 for first event entered; $5 for each subsequent event including relays; 4 event maximum for Middle School athletes, 3 event maximum for Elementary school athletes. PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT VIA CASH/ CASH/ OR CREDIT CARD DONATION TO GCR YOUTH TEAM.
