2024 Douglas County Championships

Hosted by Chapel Hill High School

Link to pay $5 entrance fee.  There are 2 different codes the 2 day event.  One for Friday and one for Saturday.

The meet is a 2-day event.  Field events & 4x800 will be on Day 1 (Friday 15th) and remaining running events on Day 2 (Saturday 16th).   Open to Douglas County School ONLY!

Friday night will also be SENIOR NIGHT for all Douglas County School students. 

Friday: Athletes begin Check-In at 4:00pm

JV will compete First in each event. JV will be allowed Unlimited entries.  (Girls then Boys)
Varsity will compete Second in each event.  Varsity is only allowed 3 entries.
Each school is allowed 2 relay teams per relay.  (2 girls and 2 boys)

  • Boys: Discus & Long Jump
  • Girls: Shot Put, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault
  • 4 x 800 Relay: Girls will begin at 6pm - Boys will be at 6:30.
  • Senior Walk at the end of the night on FridayEven if the athlete isn't competing on Friday...So ALL Seniors will walk on Friday!!!

      Saturday Athletes begin Check-In at 9:00am.

      We will have a Rolling schedule so let your athletes know this so they do not miss their event.   Athletes need to check-in AT FIRST CALL!!

      • Presentation of Awards for Top Athletes in Varsity and JV. 
      • Presentation of trophy for County Runner up and Champion.

      Awards:  Medals will be awarded to top three in Varsity events.  Medal for first place only awarded in JV events.  The top female and male performers will be recognized for overall performance on the Varsity and JV sides. (A total of 4 awards)  The Varsity top athlete award is the "Ryan Anderson & Tyler Smith" award in honor of these past athlete's honor.  On the JV side it is the "Darrin Davis" award in honor of this past athlete.

      Coaches:   The cost of the meet is $300 per school payment must be provided no later then the start of the meet on Friday.  Make checks payable to "Chapel Hill High Panther Club".

      *For each team's seniors, either have one person  (or you) ready to read or speak on behalf of your athletes.  If they can be in the booth, that's best.  If they have to be on the field (or you), then we have a wireless mic which is "normally good".  If you need us to read your senior's info sheets, please have them in the right order and in the press box before the senior walk begins.
