2024 Class 6 Region B Outdoor Championship

Tuesday May 21: Day 1 @ Stafford High School, Stafford, VA

Thursday May 23: Day 2 @ Stafford High School, Stafford, VA

1.0 Qualifying for the Class 6 Region B Championship Meet

1.1The top (6) individuals and the top (3) relays from each district advance to the Region B Meet.                                (Cardinal, Cedar Run and Commonwealth Districts)

ATHLETES CAN ONLY ADVANCE TO THE CLASS 6 REGION B CHAMPIONSHIP MEET THROUGH COMPETING IN THEIR RESPECTIVE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP AND OR ACHEIVING A REGION B OR CLASS 6 STATE SANDARD.   PERFORMANCES ATTAINED IN CLUB SANCTIONED MEETS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

 If a club sanctioned meet performance is used; they will be deleted from entry. It is the coach's responsibility to ensure that all entries are accurate, verified and meet VHSL requirements.

Permissible marks must be achieved in a VHSL sanctioned meet with a minimum of (5) teams.  The meet must be FAT for running event performances.  Converted hand times must be properly converted with a minimum of (10) teams in the meet.  Hand times will be seeded after all FAT'ed marks are seeded.

2.0 Entering the Class 6 Region B Championship Meet

2.1 All entries will be done on milestat.



Please make sure your rosters are up-to-date and names are spelled correctly.

2.2 Meet Password: OTREGB24

2.3 Entries must be completed by Saturday May 18, 2024 @ 6:00pm. For running events; all entry marks my be FAT'ed.  Converted hand time must have occurred in a minimum (10) team meet.  These marks must be converted.  They will be seeded after all the FAT'ed marks are seeded. (Recommendation:  Please do not use hand-times) See VHSL Handbook Section 84 for additional qualifying criteria. After this time, entries will be closed. Please make sure your District Meet results have been posted on milestat before you do your entries.  Review your team rosters on milestat to confirm that it is up to date, with correct spelling of names, gender, and class of each participant.

2.4 THERE IS NO STRATCH MEETING.YOUR ENTRIES ARE DECLARED ONCE THE DEADLINE CLOSES.ENTER THIS CHAMPIONSHIP SO THAT YOUR ENTRIES ARE LEGAL.

2.4.1 Notes:   Implement Certification will be in the Shot Area

         Girls Shot: 4.0kg    Girls Discus: 1.0kg    Boys Shot:  12 LBS    Boys Discus 1.6kg

         Vaulters will certify their poles and weigh-in the Vault Venue.  Vaulters must weigh-in as competition ready.

         Spikes:  1/4" pyramid only. There will be a spike check in the check-in bullpen.

2.5 THE PERFORMANCE LIST WILL POSTED Sunday May 19, 2024 by 10:00am. Please send corrections to Mike Feldman (feldmamd@pwsc.edu) by Sunday May 19, 2024 at 1:00pm.

2.6 THE SEEDED MEET PROGRAM WILL BE POSTED ON Monday May 20, 2024, by 6:00pm.

2.7 The Declaration Rule is in effect. For example: you may enter an athlete in the 100m, 200m, and 4 x 400m, if you scratch the athlete from the 300m they may still run the 4x400m but you cannot add them to another event. If you are un-sure please contact me. However, if you enter an athlete in 4th running events plan on scratching during the meet that will not work and the athlete will be deleted from the last events.

2.8 Rules: 2024 edition National Federation Rule Book and the 2023-2024 edition of VHSL Handbook

2.9 Fill out the (6) slots for your relays and on your relay cards. Relays are declared when you turn in your relay.

3.0 Qualifying for the Class 6 State Championship Meet

3.1 The top (4) individuals and the top (4) relays qualify for the Class 6 State Championship Meet ...

       Class 6 State Meet is Friday May 31 and Saturday June 1, 2024, at Todd Stadium.

3.2 Please follow the guidelines for entering you athletes in the State Meet.

3.3 Pete Augrom, Dave Davis and Mike Feldman will verify state meet entries.

Awards:  Battlefield, Gainesville (2) per school; put medals in envelopers

Award envelopes can be picked up at the conclusion of the meet.
