Meet Information

This is a VHSL state sanctioned meet. Each school will be limited to 4 athletes in each individual event and 1 relay team.  

 VHSL rules regarding event limitations will apply.

 Entry Deadline: Entry must be submitted on MileStat by Sunday April 16th at 6:00 pm. No substitutions are allowed in individual events, but are in relays. 

Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1

Timing: Giles Timing

Field Events: Each participant will be given 4 jumps and 4 throws. Each field event will have a standard set.  All first legal throws or jumps will be measured and all additional attempts must reach the standard to be measured.  

Facilities: 6 lane rubberized track, all jumps facilities are rubberized.

Scratches: Known scratches for all running events must be received by April 21st (Sunday) at 6:00 P.M. Scratches can be e-mailed to Sam Wright swright@gilesk12.net Shane Dalton at kdalton@gilesk12.net.  Field event scratches can be made at the coaches meeting the day of the meet.

Concessions: Concession stand will be available.

Admission: $5.00 per person.

Tentative Schedule for Wednesday April 19:

3:45 pm buses allowed to park

4:15 Coaches Information Meeting / Weighing of implements

4:30 pm start Field Events

        ** Due to lighting, we will also start the girls 3200 meter run at 4:30, followed by the boys 3200 meter run 

            Girls 4 x 800 relay followed by Boys 4 x 800 relay will be ran after the 3200 if no crossover athletes 

Additional running events will begin at approximately 5:30.  Rolling Schedule

NOTES:

Heats will be seeded and ran slowest to fastest.

Team camps will be set up in the bleachers on the home side (OPPOSITE OF PRESS BOX) of the stadium.
The Press Box side will be for spectators.
Warm up areas will be behind the team camp bleachers and athletes are only allowed on the football field after their event has been called.
Athletes and coaches can only enter the track at the gate near the team camp bleachers.
