Phoenix Christian Preparatory High School will be hosting its Annual Phoenix Christian Invitational on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023. This meet will be for a few smaller high schools at this time. If you did not receive an invite and would like to attend, please send us an email.

The Entry fee for both Boys and Girls Teams is $300.00. (Single team is $150.00) Payments should mailed to:

** THERE WILL BE A MAXIMUM OF 4 ATHLETES PER EVENT PER SCHOOL ALLOWING HEATS AND FLIGHTS TO BE REDUCED TO SMALLER GROUPS **



**Visiting School Volunteers**

With the reduced entry fee this year, we are asking each visiting school to provide at least one (1) adult or student volunteer to help in the various field events.

Entries:

Each school will be allowed four(4) entries per individual event and one (1) relay team in each relay event.

Please have your student-athletes names spelled correctly in MileSplit.

Entries DEADLINE:

Entries need to be entered in milesplit.com no later than Tuesday, March 21st, by 11:00 pm.

Heat Sheets

Heat sheets should be available by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 22th.

Scratches will be allowed -please notify the volunteers at the check-in table.

Admission:



Spectator attendance may be limited due to COVID protocols.

Facilities

6 Lane All-Weather 100 - 200 (back straight 5 lanes)

1 Long / Triple Jump Pit

1 High Jump

Scoring and Awards

This is a State-Qualifying meet for ALL divisions and will be scored.

Event to be electronically timed by Sue Hysong

The top eight places will be scored as 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

Medals will be awarded to the top three athletes and relay teams in each event.

Team trophies will be given to the top Girls and Boys teams.

Track Events:

All track events will run as finals (heats against time). Reasonable effort will be made to keep same school athletes separated in lane races but not be possible if times are similar. The fastest heat will run last.

Sprint and Hurdle events (100m, 200m, 400m, 100/110 and 300 hurdles) will start and finish in the same lanes.

Distance events will use a single or double waterfall start depending on the number of entries.

Track athletes must check in with the clerk of the course in the bullpen at the Finish line area of the track to pick up HIP Numbers. Throwers and jumpers will check in at the event.

Boys track races will go first followed by Girls.

*We will not be hosting Pole vault or Javelin*

Long and Triple Jump

High Jump (Starting height for boys 5'0" and girls 4' 0")

Starting heights may be changed by the meet director which will be communicated at the coaches' meeting.

If an athlete needs to leave for another event, they must check out with the event judge.

NOTE:  When they return, they will have to jump at the height the bar is at upon their return - High Jump. The judge is not allowed to go back and reset the bar to a lower height.

Shot, Discus: Athletes will compete in flights. Each athlete will get four throws, no finals.

A hog line MAY be established to keep the event moving. In the event a hog line is set up, for those competitors whose first three throws do not reach the hog line, their 4th throw will be recorded.

No reverse runs in then-on-legal direction during warm-ups will be allowed on horizontal jumps. Please ensure your athlete is prepared for this. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!
