Illinois Club Relays

Illinois Club Relays is the largest and most competitive club-run track meet in the country. We welcome all collegiate club teams, community club teams, and unattached athletes to join us for what is always an exciting and season-defining meet. Often referred to as Club Indoor Nationals, last years meet featured over 700 athletes and nearly 30 teams, including 6 of the top 10 collegiate mens track clubs and 5 of the top 10 collegiate womens track clubs in the country based on the results of the 2019 NIRCA Track & Field National Meet.

Below are additional details about this years meet:

Date and Time: Saturday, February 29th at 10AM

Location: University of Illinois Armory (505 E. Armory Ave, Champaign, IL 61820)

Schedule: The women's race of each event will precede the men's race. The meet will be run on a rolling schedule. Both running and field events will begin at 10AM.

Scoring: Relay events are scored 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Only one relay team per school can score in each event. However, each team may enter as many relay teams as desired. Individual events are scored as two person relays, with the top two marks from each team counting towards the team score (except for the mile, in which case the top four marks are added together). Scorers do not need to be declared in advance.

Facility: The meet will be held at the University of Illinois Armory. This is a 200 meter indoor track. Spikes (up to 1/4 inch pyramids) are permitted. Batons and starting blocks will be provided. An athletic trainer will be available to all athletes, and emergency medical staff will be on-site.

Parking: After 5PM and on weekends, with the exception of lots or spaces labeled as Enforced 24/7, there are no parking restrictions for University lots or spaces. Private parking is enforced as posted. City of Champaign meters are enforced as posted.

Parking is available near the Armory in lot C9 to the north; NOT in E12 directly to the south; E18, E19, and E15 3 blocks to the south; or E2 4 blocks to the southeast. Street parking is available on 4th St. to the west (City of Champaign meters enforced 7AM-9PM MonSat), 6th St. to the east, and Peabody & Pennsylvania to the south.

There is plenty of parking for Armory events within 34 blocks. Team buses should drop-off and pick-up athletes on 4th St. or Armory Ave. Buses should park in lot E15 at the corner of 4th St. & Pennsylvania Ave. Team buses should NOT drop-off or pick-up on Gregory Ave. on the south side of the Armory building.

Costs: $10 per individual event and $20 per relay team (team cap at $350). Payment is due the day of the meet, no exceptions. Pay entry fees using Venmo (@itfclub) or make checks payable to "Illinois Track and Field Club."

T-Shirts: This year, for only $20, we will be offering Illinois Club Relays t-shirts. To ensure your teams name is on the back for the shirt, be sure to register by Friday, February 7th at noon. T-shirts will be available at the meet.

Results: After the meet, results will be emailed out to teams and individuals who competed at the meet. Results will also be linked here. Live results will be available at the meet.
