Girls Metro Nashville Freshman Championship 2024

LOCATION: St. Cecilia Academy 4210 Harding Pike Nashville, TN 37205 

ELIGIBILITY: Middle Tennessee schools (FRESHMAN GIRLS ONLY- 9th grade or below). Must be registered with the TSSAA as varsity track athletes or registered as junior division track athletes. TSSAA event limitations of 4 events per athlete. 

ENTRY FEE: $50.00 per team. Mail checks by entry deadline to avoid team being scratched from meet.  Make checks payable to St. Cecilia Academy. Mail checks to: St. Cecilia Academy -4210 Harding Pike Nashville, TN 37205. Attn: Frank Vickers

ENTRY DEADLINE: Thursday, April 18. 

ENTRIES: Each team may enter three athletes per individual event (excluding relays). Entries will be on MileSplit this year.  No add-ons or substitutions allowed after the deadline. Scratches allowed prior to the meet. 

SEEDING: Seeding will be done based on verified MileSplit time.  Each event will be run from slowest to fastest seed time.   

**There will be an opportunity for upper classman (10th, 11th and 12th graders) to compete in the 800M and 1600M runs. 

IMPLEMENTS: Competitors should bring their own implements to be used at Meet.  Starting blocks will be provided. 

GATE FEE: $7 for spectators. Share in advance to your parents: Use the link below to purchase tickets in advance.

CONCESSIONS: Provided 

TENTS: Must be placed outside of gate. No tents allowed in bleachers or on the infield.   

PARKING: Parking on campus is extremely limited.  Please plan your arrival time accordingly. See attached campus map. 

• Parking for team buses/event staff: after turning on to campus from Harding Pike, follow the signs straight through the first intersection toward the big white house, then continue to follow the signs to the left side of the house, to the roundabout. Take the second  exit to the right and follow signs for parking to the left. You may park in any unreserved open spot.
• For spectators: after turning on to campus from Harding Pike, take a right after the bridge then a left at the next stop sign. Admissions will be collected by a parking attendant after you make that left turn.

FIELD EVENTS WILL GET 3 ATTEMPTS (THROWS/JUMPS). (Possible minimums below) 

SHOT PUT (16'0), DISCUS, HIGH JUMP, LONG JUMP(10'0), TRIPLE JUMP, POLE VAULT 

HIGH JUMP WILL START AT 4' 0'' 

POLE VAULT WILL START AT 6'-0"

REMEMBER NO BOYS AND FEWER TEAMS SO PLEASE CONSIDER THE ALLOCATION OF YOUR PERSONNEL ACCORDINGLY. IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 8 RELAY TEAMS IN THE 400, 800, & 1600 RELAYS, WE WILL RUN SECTION VS TIME IN THE FINALS. 

AWARDS: Medals for the top 3 finishers in each individual event and medals for the top three teams in each relay. There will be awards for the team champion, team runner-up and 3rd place.
