Admission:  Adults-$5, Students- free, AIA passes welcomed

Entries:  All entries will be submitted online through AzMilesplit.  You must have all of your entries submitted to AzMilesplit by midnight on Wednesday, April 17th .  Each school will be allowed to enter four competitors in each event and one relay.

Facilities

  • Roadrunner Race Timing.
  • 8 lane all-weather track.
  • All-weather runways for LJ, TJ and PV.
  • Concrete shot and discus rings.
  • All-weather take-off area for HJ.
  • Javelin runway a grass surface.

 Track Events

  • The check in area will be located on the south end of the football field by the finish line.  After checking in, athletes may move to the start of each event. Please know your lane assignments. 
  • The 1600m Relay will be run using a 3-turn stagger.
  • Running events will commence at 3:30.

Field Events

Girls Pole Vault, boys javelin, and girls discus competitions will begin at 2:45.

LJ and TJ are open pit.  Each athlete will get 4 jumps; no finals.  Long jump will use the northern runway.  Triple jump will use the southern runway.  Run throughs will occur from 2:45-3:30.  Jumping will occur from 3:30-6:30. Pits will close at 6:30.

  • Shot, Discus and Javelin: Each athlete will get 4 throws; no finals. Girls will throw discus first, followed by boys. Boys will throw javelin first, followed by girls.  Shot put will commence at 3:30 in an open pit fashion until completion.
  • No Hog Line will be used for this invitational. 
  • High Jump: Starting height for girls 4'0" and boys 5'0". Boys will High Jump first, followed by girls.
  • Pole Vault: Starting height for girls 6'0" and boys 8'0".  Girls will pole vault first, followed by boys.

Coaches Meeting at 3:00 by the timing tent

Opening prayer followed by the National Anthem at 3:10

Pole Vault, javelin and discus competitions will begin at 2:45. All other lane and field events start at 3:30.

 Additional Information

Parking for school buses and vans will be in the dirt lot south of the stadium.  School dismisses at 2:30, so it is recommended that teams arrive before 2:30 or after 2:50.

Food trucks will be available during the meet.  Water jugs will be also be available for participants.

Athletic trainers will be on-site for the meet.

Hospitality table will be set up for coaches in the south end of the stadium.

Implement weigh in will occur from 2:00-3:00. A table will be set up at the entrance of the stadium to weight implements.

Medals will be given to top three finishers in every event.

Winners for the boys and the girls competition will receive a first-place plaque.  Scoring will be the standard 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

Team camps will be set up north or west of the home field bleachers or the visiting stands.  Infield will be used as a warm up area.
