Coaches Meeting at 4.
First call High Jump at 4:00 second call 4:05; final at 4:10 and start at 4:15.
Boys long jump at 4:10; second call 4:15; final at 4:20 and start at 4:25.
First call Girls Shot Put and Boys Discus and Girls Javelin: 4:05, 4:10, 4:15 and start by
4:20. Shotput and Jav will go at same time for each division. Girls will throw shot, then
Jav and come back to shot. Same for boys.
First call for the Girls 100m Hurdles at 4:35, 2nd call at 4:40 (Boys 1 st call at 4:40), 3 rd call
at 4:45 and start running at 4:50. Make first call for boys on Girls Second call.
Girls Long jump and boys high jump- check with me, we are trying to wait until Girls High
Jump is done.

After the hurdles, we are going straight to the girls 100 meters followed by boys.
AFTER THE 100 Meters, we are going to take a break to let field events run their course.
So, both boys and girls will finish 100 before break.

It is $5 (cash only) for spectator entry.  We will have concessions, Kona Ice, and Traveling Tom's Coffee truck.  We picked up a tent at the WW meet, I think it is IMS.  Let me know if you are missing one.  Parking is located behind our football stadium/track.

 

3 competitors only per event.  Maximum of 4 events per athlete.  Fouls will be called fouls, disqualifications will be in effect, and one false start allowed before DQ (next one in that field is DQ).

 

For the Conference Meet, we will run the following schedule:

Field Events

  • High Jump - boys and girls will go get marks and warm up together, girls HJ will start and the bar goes up with boys coming in as needed.
  • Boys long jump - 2 pits of boys long jump to get them done and ready for high jump.
  • Girls long jump - 2 pits of girls long jump
  • Boys discus/Girls Shot/Girls Jav
  • Throws would then switch divisions (throwers who do multiple- I would have them check in both and have them throw their first throw, then 1 or 2 other competitors take a turn, then have them throw their 2nd throw and so on so that they can get done within 6 or 7 throws and move on to other event.)

  • Consolation 800 (let me know yes or no and we will make determination off responses) I already have 2 "no's" for this

I will have ribbon awards for the top 8 competitors in each event.  In order to receive those, you will need to hang out for a couple minutes after the 4x400 so they can be scored and the ribbons sorted.  You will have to write your students' names on them, but the events will already be on there.  I pass these out to my students at lunch, so everyone gets to see. I will pass out envelopes of ribbons by the timing tent at the conclusion of the meet.  Any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask.
